After a long day of learning, kids need time to just be kids! Thrive at the Y is a licensed afterschool childcare program that provides a safe, welcoming place for children to relax, PLAY, build friendships, and have fun while you finish your workday.

At Thrive, we encourage children to choose how they spend their afternoon—whether that means getting creative, trying a new hobby, playing games with friends, heading outside, or simply taking some time to unwind.

Our program follows all State of Maine mandated child-to-staff ratios, giving families the peace of mind that their children are cared for in a safe, licensed environment.

Great Salt Bay Community School students can spend the morning at the Y from 6:30am until they are walked to school at 7:45am.

We foster creativity, curiosity, and exploration within a traditional classroom setting. This program is filled with opportunities to help a child explore and learn through language, math, science, social studies, practical life, and sensorial opportunities.
