World Art and Culture

(Week 1, 6/23-6/27)

Explore different cultures of the world through art.  Create vibrant, take home, African masks, Japanese origami and Indian Rakhi bracelets.  Explore Egyptian portrait painting.  Help us create a Chinese Dragon and a Mexican Piñata, as we celebrate different cultures and have fun!

Modern Art

(Week 3, 7/7-7/11)

Make modern masterpieces!  Create art in the modern spirit using everything from traditional paint to everyday objects.  Explore Impressionistic painting using dots of color.  Make a 3-D sculpture out of string.  You will bring home a tye-dye T-Shirt, and create sculpture from objects you find in nature or at home.

Art and Nature

(Week 5, 7/21-7/25)

Come and join us as we create art inspired by nature.  Some projects will include potato and veggie printing, nature drawing and sand sculpture masks.  We will decorate and plant flower pots, make leaf and flower cards and create fairy houses.

2-D and 3-d Paper Arts

(Week 7, 8/4-8/8)

Make your own paper!  Recycle old newspapers, add leaves, flowers, glitter and glue to make your own unique creation.  Make marbleized paper and use the paper you make to create 2 & 3D cards, crafts, designs and jewelry.
